Planning an inscription

Here is a record of Fiona's first commission for an
inscription. This is a copy of the sheet she submitted to
her client for approval. It included details of each of
the different sizes of letters, and clearly shows their
design. Then there is a rough layout of the whole
inscription. Together this is enough to enable anyone
to envisage the finished job.

Fiona launched out into
flourishes. These are notoriously
difficult to design and balance.
Just like the letters in her first
commission, these show a sense
of strength, unity and
movement that point to a
promising future.
