THE NON-DESIGNER'S TYPE BOOK

This is not the Apple Key Caps utility that comes with your Macintosh. This is Adobe's
utility called KeyCap that usually comes on a disk when you buy an expert set, or you
might find it on any of your other Adobe disks. Just double-click on the icon (shown
below), then choose a font from the menu. All of the characters in that font will appear
in a nice window as shown below. Click any character to see it in the enlargement
window. From the File menu, you can choose to "Print Fonts__" Select any number of
fonts from your list and KeyCap will print a separate chart like this for each one.

Script fonts appear clean and smooth on the screen, and so they print clean and smooth
to non-PostScript (inexpensive) printers. The Deluxe version of atm goes a big step
further—it allows you to open only the fonts you need at the moment, and to create
"sets" of fonts so you can open or close all the fonts that belong to a project at once. See
