Produced In association with the
Burchfield-Penney Art Center (Buffalo.
New York), the Arts and Crafts font set
derives from Roycroft books and peri¬
odicals designed by multifaceted artist
Dard Hunter in the early 1900s. Arts
and Crafts now includes more than
fifty decorative elements to give your
documents a unique and distinguished
mission-style appearance The alphabet
is an all-caps based on Dard Hunter's
famous Viennese style lettering, which
has become synonymous with the
Roycroft movement.

add even more flair to this distinctive

Dard Hunter was arguably one of the
most influential graphic designers to
come out of the American Arts and
Crafts movement. Here are more
authentic Dard Hunter designs from his
Roycroft era (1900-1910), authorized
by his grandson, Dard Hunter III.
This set includes our Arts and Crafts
Ornaments 2 that now contains
seventy-two graphic extras, and two
new H unter-de sign ed alphabets. Both
alphabet fonts include alternates and
ligatures.

As professor of the typography
and graphic design workshop of
the Bauhaus school. Herbert Bayer
was instrumental in innovating
typographic designs along functional
and Constructivist lines Editing the
alphabet to distinct, pure and
rationally constructed forms,
Bayer's 'Universal' type is an icon
of modern design.

Bayer Universal-Created in 1925, this
is one of Herbert Bayer's many typo¬
graphic experiments that sought to
reduce the alphabet ta a single case.
Universal is unique in its geometric
simplicity and its maximum distinc¬
tion of individual characters.

Bayer Shadow-This "coutourless
shade script' was designed sometime
between 1925 and 19Э0.

Bayer Fonetik-Dating from 1959. this
font represents Bayer's experiment
with a single-case alphabet that also
does away with phonetic discrepan¬
cies found in so many European lan¬
guages Unique ligatures combining
sounds accent this alphabet, which
Bayer described as "one symbol for

Bauhaus Extras-This set of extras Is

a collection of graphic icons inspired
by various Bauhaus works during the
